Like migrating birds, headed south for the winter. We are all on this hypnotic journey of day to day life, where the seasons change year after year, and occasionally, we stop for just a few minutes, to reflect on where we are. We always notice where we are, but it’s the minority, who contemplates How we got here.
In this way, it is the majority, who fly through life just as the birds do. On auto pilot, completely enslaved by the guidance system called Habit!
So lets take a little time to reflect on, the seemingly smooth transitions from one phase of life to another, and realize, that there Is a general structure to our evolution, from infant to adolescent to mature and ultimately, back to nature.
Please realize, that what is written here, is merely a loose concept, in which, If we wanted, could add hundreds of stipulations and contingencies. It is meant to serve as just a peek, of what is behind the curtain of the Play, that we are all acting in.
We arrive into this world, to the likeness of a beautiful, fresh batch of pottery clay! We are super smooth, soft, and we can twist and bend in unpredictable ways. Like fresh clay, we are completley at the mercy of our creators. Every word that is Spoken, we get Shaped, by the Feelings, that Ride on those words. My parents first argument, I cannot comprehend, what is happening, all I know is that with every fowl intention, No matter the destination, my surface gets scratched and pitted!
the good feelings of my surroundings roll in, and hold me, so they can rub a new layer of clay to cover up the damage incurred before. This cycle of positive and negative energy, continuously, scars me up, and smooths me over. Again and again, as sort of a Recorded Footprint, of the path, that I have Not chosen for myself.
As an infant, Their mind is like a dry sponge, and their external world is constantly raining. Up until about a year or so, Babies do not realize that the world they see, and themselves, are Not separate. They, and the World, are as one! But after the age of one, you will see them begin to become facinated with Textures, Shapes and Sound. The infants role is to simply ride along in existence until his “outside” world starts take shape.
From here, to puberty, Their role is to do nothing but experience and explore. They should have No “Foundational” responsibilities! The role of our Parents and schooling, should consist only of positive habitual structure (rules), Guidance and love. Children should Not have to take on any responsibilities like, providing emotional support to parents, providing income, or any parental duty that would Rob the child of the care free mental state, which allows for proper balancing & growth of the soul.
For example: Kids can develop their responsibility skills in an efficient way, Only If they, in a sense, “have nothing to worry about”! Let say that the parents are always fighting, and the tension is constantly high and thick. The child will not be relaxed inside, and instead of his subcon being relaxed and releasing feelings of creativity and exploration, it cultivates ways to defend, justify or hide! All this at a time when the “Natural” building blocks of responsibility, are to be laid.
Now we enter the pubery teen years. The role of the teens, is to Push all boundaries and limits, and find out “for themselves”, Who they really are! The critical thing to remember here, that its “Too late” to play “catch up” on “should have” Parenting!
There is a Nasty little fact, that is hard for me or any other parents to come to grips with. If kids go too far off the path of goodness. Just know that somewhere, within those “scratches” & “pits” that were covered up by new clay long ago, now has to be serviced. And the “negative”, has to be serviced to the degree in which the scratches were applied. “What has been given, will now be received”.
The teen years is when we are suppose to apply a Load Test to life. We move through the world like a night at a speed dating event, to hopefully assemble our perfect puzzle. It must be noted that the precise path that we are exploring Now as a teenager, is a direct effect, of the Responsibility and Structure that was assembled, in the critical years as a child.
As children indulge in their innocent selfishness Now, This is precisely what allows them to Not Need it Later!
To be continued on the next post…
